Metromile Scores With Washington State Super Bowl Ad Push

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 1, 2018 — Metromile, the leader in pay-per-mile car insurance in the U.S., launched its first-ever Super Bowl spot targeting low-mileage drivers in the Pacific Northwest. The ad, “Dear Washington,” will air during the last time slot before the Super Bowl LII halftime show.

Metromile is the obvious choice for the 60 percent of Seattle commuters who choose public or sustainable transportation to get downtown, instead of driving. The pay-per-mile model is designed to meet the needs of low mileage drivers, no matter how they drive.

As part of a larger regional push, the brand has also committed to running “Dear Portland,” an alternative version of the spot, in the Portland, Ore. TV market. The brand highlighted their local advertising efforts this week with an open-letter that petitioned national and regional media to include localized Super Bowl advertisements in their annual ad rankings.
