How do I know if Ride Along is accurate?
How does the Metromile app know when I’m driving?
The Metromile app knows when you’re driving based on the location and motion data from your phone. It can tell when you’re the passenger and not driving using information like the speed and distance you’re traveling. Rest assured, our goal is to make sure the rate you see is accurate, so you can be confident in what you might pay for car insurance.
Will my quote be higher if I don’t take a Ride Along?
Ride Along will not affect your quote. Your quote will stay the same whether or not you take a Ride Along and will never increase based on the results of your Ride Along.
In Oregon, your Ride Along could help you earn savings for your safe driving.
