Pay-per-mile car insurance in Pennsylvania
That’s a good thing, too! Auto insurance protects you (and everyone else on the road). When you drive with a state-approved auto insurance policy, you’ll have the peace of mind that comes from knowing you’re unlikely to get stuck with a huge liability bill after an accident.
Besides, if you’re a low mileage driver in Pennsylvania (that is, you drive fewer than 10,000 miles per year) we’ve got some excellent news:
Here’s how pay-per-mile auto insurance works: First, you’ll start with a consistent monthly rate that can be as little as $29/month. Then, you’ll simply pay as low as 6 cents per mile for each mile you drive in a month. On the months you don’t drive as much, you’ll have a smaller auto insurance bill. With Metromile, the less you drive, the more you save.
Pay-per-mile auto insurance coverage from Metromile is a great choice for drivers who often work from home or use public transportation. Retirees love us, too! In fact, our customers have saved up to $947* per year.

How much is pay-per-mile insurance in Pennsylvania
What you pay for car insurance depends on lots of factors, such as the make and model of your vehicle, the coverages you choose, and where you park your car at night. Your annual mileage is a significant factor, too, which is why Metromile’s pay-per-mile coverage can be very affordable for people who drive fewer than 10,000 miles per year.
For example, a Metromile policy starts at as low as a $29/month base rate (plus a per-mile rate of as little as 6 cents per mile).
That’s why Metromile has a lot of happy low-mileage customers. (Our customers can save up to $947* per year on their car insurance policies!)
